Whitby Condos for Sale

If you are in the market for a condominium outside of the city of Toronto but not so far away from it that you'll be unable to access all that is fantastic and wonderful about it, then you'll want to invest in any one of the Whitby condos for sale. Whitby is a large town sandwiched between Oshawa and Ajax that tends to serve more as a "go-between" for the two neighboring cities, but still manages to provide a fair few amenities and recreational activities on its own. However, given the incredible closeness of Ajax and Oshawa, their amenities are more than readily accessible to you as well. Regardless of whichever of the condos you'd choose, you will be able to access all of the amenities with incredible ease thanks to the major roadways that stretch through the town in a manner very similar to the web of a spider. As far as getting into Toronto is concerned, you can do even that super easily thanks to the presence of the Highway 401 that runs through the southern part of town, running westward right through the middle of the city of Toronto (almost bisecting Toronto and North York from each other).

The town of Whitby has its fair share of amenities that you can reach from any of the Whitby condos for sale, and these amenities are grouped together primarily at one intersection and along one road: at the intersection of Brock Street and Taunton Road at the northwestern part of Whitby, and along Consumers Drive at the south end right by the Highway 401. Consumers Drive is home to quite a few amenities, such as various restaurants/fast food places, a grocery store, a post office, a theater, and a pharmacy, as well as a couple of gas stations... whereas up at the intersection of Brock Street and Taunton Road, there are similar amenities, but a different selection that also includes a couple of coffee shops, a couple of banks, an LCBO, and several other excellent stores that you're sure to enjoy. You also have the amenities of Oshawa, which can be accessed by simply using either the Highway 401, Taunton Road, Rossland Road, or Dundas Street (which becomes King Street in Oshawa, and Kingston Road in Ajax and beyond); as a bonus, Dundas Street also serves as yet another way of getting to the city of Toronto, as it becomes Lake Shore Boulevard there).

If you feel like getting out of the town of Whitby for a little bit and perhaps heading out into the countryside for a daytrip or weekend trip, no matter which of the Whitby condos for sale you've chosen, you will be able to use Brock Street to head north to the Highway 407 (a toll highway), and beyond that, Brock Street becomes the Highway 12 (which can take you a considerable distance out into the country, all the way to the town of Orillia on the northern tip of Lake Simcoe. Suffice it to say, the Highway 12 can allow you to explore everything the countryside of southern Ontario has to offer; the Highway 401 can enable you to check out all of the excellent shopping opportunities available to you in Toronto, Scarborough, Pickering, Ajax, and Oshawa, and the Highway 407 can take you into Richmond Hill, Markham, and Vaughan (which sit to the north of Toronto). Between all of these transportation options, you will never be bored for anything to do. However, at the end of the day, you will be able to come back to the relative peace and quiet of the town of Whitby, regardless of where your condo is.
