Whitby Condo Townhomes
The condo townhomes of the town of Whitby are spread out across the town, but if you are looking to invest in any of these Whitby condo townhomes for sale, you are in luck. You will be able to live in a condo townhome that not only offers all of the comforts one would come to expect of the upper-class lifestyle, but you'll also be able to have access to all of Whitby's amenities thanks to the major roadways that can be found virtually next to the condo townhomes (and they all connect to each other very conveniently, which makes travel even more of a cakewalk). You also have the beautiful waters of Lake Ontario at the south end of town, along with several lovely parks that border it (this allows you to be able to enjoy the greenery of a park (and potentially its walking/cycling trails too) while being able to look out over the shimmering azure waters of the lake; this does help to create an incredible backdrop for one's picnic or Frisbee tossing. Plus, the two major highways that run through the north and south part of the town heading west and east (the toll Highway 407 and Highway 401 respectively) can help you get wherever you need to go in a hurry.
The amenities of the town of Whitby are plentiful, and all of the Whitby condo townhomes for sale are within proximity of them no matter where the buildings themselves are. Lots of Whitby's amenities are concentrated in two specific areas: Consumers Drive, which is a short roadway that runs parallel to the north of Highway 401 (Highway of Heroes), and the intersection of Taunton Road and Brock Street in the northwestern part of Whitby. Consumers Drive contains lots of stores and amenities (most of which can be clearly seen by passerby on the Highway 401), giving this stretch of shopper heaven the same kind of visual "amenities on the side" feeling as one of the many rest stops one encounters along the Highway 401. Consumers Drive plays host to such amenities as a grocery store, a couple of banks, a pharmacy, a theater, a few restaurants/fast food places, a post office, a coffee shop, an LCBO, and a gas station, among plenty of others; the intersection of Taunton Road and Brock Street contain much of the same types of amenities, but a different variety, enabling for a greater freedom when choosing where to shop on any particular day of the week.
Condo townhomes are most certainly the embodiment of lavish, just shy of what condominiums can provide, but another benefit is that you will be entering into a community made up of other condo townhome owners who are friendly and welcoming (no matter which of the Whitby condo townhomes for sale you choose to purchase), but know that when you DO purchase a condo townhome, you are only acquiring the townhome; you are not acquiring the land that that townhome sits on. The land is the property of the condo corporation, and any condo townhome owners looking to make any sort of visual alterations to the townhome or the land it sits on are required to pass it by the condo corporation first. Regardless of where your condo townhome is, you will also be able to access the major roadways that can take you into the other nearby cities, such as Dundas Street (Whitby's main road, which runs from Oshawa in the east all the way to the western edge of downtown Toronto) and Brock Street (which turns into the Highway 12 heading north once it passes the Highway 407 (a toll highway), and the Highway 12 can carry you all the way out into the countryside, even as far as Orillia on Lake Simcoe's northern edge.
